I actually did some tidying up around here recently (!!!!) and the Sara Lee Dust (layer upon layer upon layer) inspired me to make the commitment to myself that there will be no new containers come into this house EVER again that don’t have lids!
In the spirit of my new-found obsession with dust-prevention, today I made myself a new pincushion.
No more dusty pins and, when the lid is on, it even looks cute

…was going to use them but I’m thinking now that I will frame them on the card. What do you think? And how old do you reckon they are? I think 1950s – 1960s?
Should I be concerned about my thrift shop addiction? Is it a problem??
Humph. I don’t think so. Not when I find cool stuff like these eggcups. So I don’t eat boiled eggs. I don’t care! I sure as heck wasn’t about to leave them behind on that dusty shelf.
