Phew! What busy month it’s been!
But, last night was the best night of the whole month. We had a scrappy quilt half-night class at the shop. It was so much fun!
Thirteen of us started at 3:00 pm and we sewed and sewed…

and ate and sewed…

We arranged and discussed and changed and rearranged…

We made beautiful quilt tops…

And we threatened to mug Jenny in the car park and steal her shoes…

There was ONE of us who may have gotten just a teensy bit fed-up…

Mary serenaded us, Donna massaged us (and collected donations for Breast Cancer Research in return), Flo gave us a Chocolate Fix wth her truffles that should last for weeks…
And just before 1:00 a.m. we all went home.
Thank you all, ladies, for your wonderful company! It was an inspiring night. Now, finish those quilts and prepare for 1,2,3: The Sequel (aka Show and Tell and Wine and More Food) in four weeks!
ps: NEXT time, the sneaky peeps who managed to avoid being photographed WON’T be so lucky! I know who you are and my battery WILL be charged!!

What a fantastic time you had and I would give good chocolate for those shoes too. The shop looks wonderful.

Shop looks *fab* – as does that cheese platter
You know, for years, I always wondered why someone would want to make a quilt-top .. it just sounded like the most horrid top you could most possibly wear, and yet, everything seemed to be making them.
duh.
*Much* nicer when made as the TOP part for a quilt

OMG!! I love the shoes!!! OH yeah ~ I like the quilts also. I miss my retreats. I have moved and have not gotten up the gumption to venture out and find a group/store to camp out at. I always love doing the “all night sew in’s” ~ guess i’ll have to go and chech out the quilt store and see how they do things.

This looks wonderful. You’ve made such a great creative refuge for people.
Now I’m going to be thinking on how to make/modify shoes.
